Dear Future Member,

As an official chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, the U.S. Caribbean Chapter offers interested individuals the

opportunity to become part of our organization.  As a local chapter member you will be entitled to many benefits, including

discounts on local seminars, participation in chapter committees, and networking opportunities; but above all, you will be

part of an organization that works every day to make a difference for the community and the environment.

Types of Membership

• USGBC National Membership: This type of membership is for companies, organizations, government agencies,

non-profit organizations and such. If you desire to register your organization as a USGBC Member you must

select this option.

• Individual Chapter Membership: This type of membership is for individuals who desire to become members of a

USGBC Chapter on their personal behalf. Employees of USGBC National Member companies, students and/or

individuals may become members of a USGBC Chapter through this option.

There are no educational or professional requirements to become a member of the USGBC.

Annual Dues

• Individual Chapter Membership

o Regular Chapter Membership – $65

o Chapter Membership for USGBC National Member Employees – $45.50

o Chapter Membership for students – $26 (must be a full-time student at an accredited university

and/or college).

Becoming a Member of the U.S. Caribbean Chapter

There are two steps to becoming a member of any USGBC local Chapter.  First you must create a profile with the

USGBC.  Then, you will select the chapter you wish to join and pay the membership fee.  The following instructions will

guide you through the process:

Please go to http://www.usgbc.org.

1. Let’s find out if the organization you work for is a USGBC member. If this does not apply to you continue with step

2.  Otherwise, click on Directories located on the upper right corner of the page, the Membership Directory will

show up, type in the name of your organization and press Search. If your organization is a USGBC member it will

show up in the list.

2. Press JOIN at the top right corner and select Individual Chapter Membership.  If you have already created a

profile at the USGBC Website, please enter your email and password information and proceed to Joining the U.S.

Caribbean Chapter section below.  Otherwise, click on create a site user account.
